From Secretary Bombay - In reply to letter dated 15th August last assumes with refer to its 1st & 2nd Paras that this Government have apparently musernderstood the native of the enginry made in his communication the 23rd April, which was not to asscertain whether any further Correspondence was necessary or the subject of the Emigration of Natives of India to the Mauritius but whether such Correspondence was necessary on the parte Calor subject of the legal Emigration to that Colny of the Sabevers conveyed from aden by the French Ships Jrumaenlee # & Berthe in refer to the proceeding of the Mauritius for & on the subject the views of the Government of India on the questions which have arisn with respect to the Emigrant to the Mauritius will now he communicated to that Government with.a request for aid in furthering any proceedings that may in future he found necessary to prevent or punish such infractions of the law a that committed in the case of the people introduced from aden or the
