To Secretary - In acknowledging receipt of the foregoing communications states that it was intended on receipt of the first of them to enforce the orders of Government for the removal of Women & Childrem from the contral Provinces to Bengal but inblle gence having since been reward of the entire # fiture of the rebels both at Delhi & Lucknow it is no longer necessary to # upon their removal requests therefore that the operation of the orders of 4th September be suspended - but the prohibition against European Women 7 Children entering the districts referred to in that orders to leave Calcutta in the such intent remains in free any orders on the subject issued the Commissioner in Chief not being affeded by these instructions.
