Secretary Bombay - Acknowledges receipt of Under Secretary Edmonstones letter of the 10th November last intimating that the Governer General will postpone his decision as to the extension of the Electric Telegraph communication to Kurrachee pending further advice from the Court of Directors regarding the contemplated Sub Marine line between Swez & India - submits certain suggestions of the Governer of Bombay on the course to be followed in laying down the Telegraphic line between Europe and India and that considering the advantage even now of a communication with the ports of Kurrachee and Scind expresses the hope of the that Government that its construction will not be kept in abeyance until the Honble Court shall have decided upon the subject of the Sub Marine line.
