Informs the Public Works Department in reply to its Extract of 18th April last that the G. G. in C. is of opinion that Government is not bound to incwr the expense of building a new room attached to the Town Hall and ocupied sent free by Messrs spence and Coy. assistants in him of the permises about tobe pulled down or to compensate them for the loss of it as the advantages attached to the Custody of the Town Hall is a sufficient remuneration for the responsibility impoad on them by that custody.
