India and Pakistan signed a trade agreement in August 1952 in New Delhi that was in effect from 8.8.52 to 30.6.53. (2) At the meeting of the Indo-Pakistan Rlys standing committee held in December 1954, Pakistan raised the issue of returning these 1000 waggons, but it was decided that the arrangement should continue for the time being. The Sub-Committee (Appointed) by Govts of India to Pakistan decided that for coal supplies from India to Pakistan, the latter will provide waggon assistance of 1000 waggons (previously 1500) to Indian Rlys
