Recommendation No.34 contained in App.II of the 33rd Report of the Public Accounts Committee(2nd Lok Sabha) that in cases of departmental investigations and action vis-a-vis police investigations, the proper course is to make only copies available to the police for purposes of investigations and hand over the originals for filing in courts, when required. No action taken in view of instructions contained in Board's D.O. No.62-B (C)-PAC/II/40 dated 23-7-1962 that in cases where records are taken over by the S.P.E. etc. for investigation or are required to be filed in the Court, photostat copies of the records handed over to S.P.E. etc. should be retained for progressing, departmental action
