N.F. Railway: Method of calculating wages for purposes of payment of compensation under the Work men's Compensation Act in respect of casual Labour. Decision: that the method of calculating of average wages in terms of Section 5 (C) of the W.C. Act, 1963 should be to take the total wages including wages for paid holidays, paid weekly off and paid leave if any, earned by the daily-rated casual labour in the last continuous period of Service immediately preceding the accident and devide it by the number of days comprising such period and not by the number of days actually worked
