All Indian Railways recommendation No. 46 of the study team (Railway) of the administrative reforms commission regarding posting of assistant officers to regulate storage and supply of diesel oil at the various depots- Decision that one post of AME (High Speed Diesel) should be created a Itarsi, New Katni and Waltair diesel sheds for the present for a period of one year and the results achieved watched. Posts operated from 13-2-78, 10-4-78 and 6-1-78 respectively
