Question whether the officers and the staff should be asked to sign in token of their having been acquainted with the provisions of the official secret Act to the Government Servant Conduct Rules with reference to the Home Department Memorandum of instructions regarding the treatment and Safe-guarding of secret and confidential information and papers etc. Observation that it is not necessary that the officers and the staff must sign, but what is required is for the Department to satisfy themselves that both the officers and the staff have made familiar with the relevant provisions.
