Extracts, of a Military letter from the Honble the Court of Directors, to the Governor of the Presidency of for william in Bengal , no 123 dated the 5th novenber 1851. we do not object to the appointment of a Commission to examine inte all matter connected with the suds in Bengal but we are of opinions of major General sir W. Gilbert as president of that commission was open to this very serious objection that he had himself pronounced judgement against the Continunace of the studs in an officcial report just laid before you the high reputation of the distmguished officer.
