Transmits a copy of a letter from Dr. F.J.Mouat, offering to make certain valuable testamentary dispositions to be applied to the founding of scholarships and the promotion of education in the Calcutta University, and requests that the thanks of the Government of India may be conveyed to Dr. Mouat for his very liberal offer with an expression of their willingness to accept the trust which he desires to commit to them.
