Enquiry from the India Office regarding the budget estimates of certain provinces in respect of Governors Allowances for 1938-39. Discussions on the method of Showing the provision for expenditure on the maintenance, improvement etc., of the official residences of the Governors under Head 25-General Aministration Method not approved as it involved the levy of P.W.D. eptt. Charges. Instructions to Governors Secretaries to send annually a statement of expenditure provided in the provincial budget for the official residences of the Governors under para. 7(1)(b) of the Govt. of India (Governors allowances and Privileges) Order 1936.
