Imposition of prohibition on export of certain articles out of British India to any destination outside India or Burma. Steps taken by the French Indian and Portuguese Indian Govt. to impose prohibition on export from their ports of such articles emanating from British India in order to guard against possibility of above articles finding their way out of India through French or Portuguese India. Anxiety of the French Govr. at great increase in the bazar prices.
