Suggestion made by His Majesty`s Consul General, Pondicherry that the Government of the Portuguese Possessions in India should be pressed to levy the same customs duty in Demand Diu as in goa so as to prevent smuggling of contraband goods into British India through Daman and Diu. Decision not to pursues the matter for the present.
