Letter from the President and Council of Fort St. George, intimating that only a very few of the Companys bond holders at their Presidency will consent to receive bills at the exchange of 7s. for the pagoda, requesting a supply of 80,000 bags of rice by the 1st March, 1787, through Mr. Macleod, their Agent at Calcutta, remarking on the poor quality and high price of the rice sent to them for the last few years, giving news of their shipping, reporting that they have received no part of the cotton or other articles on account of Mr. Bruere, stating the measures taken by them to obviate the effects of the delay , and asking for a copy of the regulations for the collection of import duties at Calcutta.
