1. Complaint from the Secretary of state that the Government of India`s letter conveying approval to the sind courts (Amendment) bill and the Bengal Smoke Nuisances (Amendment) bill was received before copies of the Bills themselves. 2. Decision that the Governments of Bengal, Madras and Bombay should, in future, send copies of this Department`s letter conveying approval to a local bill direct to the Secretary of state as an enclosure to their despatch relating to teh bill. and that the present practice whereby such letters are sent by the Government of india should be discontinued.
