Letter from the President and Council of Fort St. George intimating that they are not able to comply fully with the indent for cloths trnsmitting an account of the marks and numbers of the coral consigned by the Ceres to Messrs, John and Edward John Holland, suggesting that in order to procure a sufficient quantity of tonnage for transporting rain from Bengal totheir Presidency the prohibition on the importation of country salt should be taken off in favour of boats freighted for the public service, reporting that the Ereemason laden with rice for Bombay having touched at their port they ordered the commander to land his cargo there, and intimating the drawing of certain bills of exchange.
