Dr. A Sprenger - Submits an explanation of his conduct in the peouniary transaction that took place between himself and Mr. Bontros. Remarks on the circumstance of 11 years having slaposed before any official notice was taken of the transaction a transaction stated to have been sutered into by him under the impression that Govt. never sanctioned it a circumstance which in Mr. Boutros opinin was the very thing wanting to give it legality. That the reply be received from Mr. Thomason Lieutt. Governor N. W. P. to a reference he had made to him in 1854 was viewed by him Dr. Sprenger as a guarantee precluding the Government from interfereing at any time or on any plee in the matter conohedes by - the wil consequence to himself if he be deprived of his Civil appointments.
