Mr. S. Garling on behalf of the junior Civil Servants now Present at Fort Marlbo - Request the Attention of Government to certain points respecting the rank and privilidges of the Bencoolen Civil servants regular and extra Covenanted Advert to the interpretation put upon the Courts orders of teh 29th April 1818on the sunject by the Lt. Governor and offer some Observation explanatory of the Grounds on which they lay claim to rise Progressively in teh Service from a Factor to a senior Merchant solicit orders as to rank to which a Bencoolen Civil servant when at any fo the other presidencies will be entilled relatively with the Honbel Companys Civil and Military servants elsewhere.
