L.S - Refers to orders of the 27th Ultimo relative to the application made by certain Native Merchants for a convoy to their Vessels trading to the Red Sea - States that as it is invonvenient at present to assign any Vessel as convoy on the occasion referred to, transmits a letter to the address of the officer commanding his Majestys Squadron in that quarter requesting that all due protection may be afforded to the Merchant Vessels proceeding thither, consistent with the orders under which he acts.
