Lieut.Governor - Staes that pursuant to the Instructions the whole of the property belonging to Mr.H.R.Lewis under requestation at that settlement on account of the deficiency in the Treasury has been disposed of by Public Auction & the proceess thereof held in deposit until further orders, encloses a copy of the Corresspondence on the subject & an account current showing the Balance which will be carried to the credit of Mr.Lewis. Requests authority for the adjustment of the balance due by Mr.Presgrave on account of the balance due by Mr.Presgrave on account of the sale of Mr.Lewis House to him, observations respecting the plantation belonging to that gentleman & regarding some opium.
