With copy of a letter from Messers Alexender and Company and informing that their request to Export 2 Boxes of Tea to Madras has been complied with, also conveying the resolution Government Weastern the Collector of Government Customs with a Discretionary Power in all Cases of Ships leaving this Port Bound to any Port or place within the limits of the Companies Trade, excepting the Cape of Good Hope, to pass for the use of the Ship any quantity of Tea not exceeding 2 Whole Chests, and a further quantity as present not exceeding 5 Chests making of chests in the whole , a special License to be obtained for any quanitty of Tea which may require to be exported above that number.
