From Post Master General - Submits a proposition from Doctor Ranken the Deputy Post Master at Delhi - Vizt that the amount now paid to the Establishment ( including the out Chokies) be transferred to him in the shape of a Contract, on receiving which he engages to perform the duties of the office in a more efficient manner than at present. Has no objection to the plan in the individual case of Dr. Ranken, though a general adoption would be obviously impolitic - Should Government concur in the arrangement. Requests that the Officer of Account may be directed to pass Dr. Rankens Bills in the manner within described and should security be deemed necessary suggests the amount at which it should be fixed.
