From Board - Having invited Tenders for the execution of the repairs of Government Vessels Boats have received two - one from Mr. Currie Managing Proprietor of hte Howrah Dock offering to execute them on a Commission of 10 per cent on the prices submitted and the other from Mr. Reeves offering the same at 25 per cent - Have accepted the former from the 1st Proximo - Received also two Separate Tenders for the Execution of Iron Work - one from Messers Jessop & Company and the other from Mr. Murdock. Have accepted the latter - States the principle on which Tenders were invited and the saving likely to be effected.
