In continuation of his No.4251, dated 26th June last, forwards copy of a letter from the Superintendent of Labour Transport, reporting the overcrowded state in which 600 coolies, intended for Assam, Cachar, and Sylhet, were put on board the British India Steam Navigation Company's Steamer Punjab; and requesting that measures may be taken to secure the comfort of coolies who are brought from such a distance in sea-going Steamers.
