From - With reference to the represntation of the Lieutt. Governor N. W. P. regarding the great disparity in the salaries of the Dy. Commissioner in Oudhe and those of like Oficers in the Northern and Sonthorn Frontiers Informs that as a Commissioner has recently been appointed for the revision of Civil Salaries and Establishment throghout India the Governor General in Cl. is of opinion that the Government cannot with any propriety in outicipation of the commissioners views on the subject make any charge in the salaries above alluded to. The report of the Commissioner to whom the application of the Lieutt. Governor N. W. P. has been referred will be an inted before His Lordship in Cl. can pass final orders in respect to it.
