Secretary - Submits copy of a note regarding the amount of business in the office of the Secretary to the Bengal Government and of a Minute by the Lieut Governer on the subject states that His Honor trusts that this Government will accord its sanction to the proposition for the appointment to that office of a second or junior Secretary on a salary of Rs. 2500 per mensem instead of two Under Secretaries on Salaries of 1250 each.
