To Superintendent Geological - In reply to the foregoing states that a letter on the subject thereof has been received from Mr. Piddington and requests he will inform that gentleman that the arrangement which plaes Mr. Piddington under his orders and in his absence under the order of the Professor of Geology in the Presidency College cannot be departed from and also that the G. G. in C. sees no reason for giving the cavator of the new Mussum a higher salary than that assigned to the joint caratonship of the Geological collections in the Mussum of the aciatic society amexes copy of a letter addressed to the Secretary of that society and requests line to furnish a copy of it to Mr. Piddington and to inform him that if he wishes to accept the corratorship of the new Mussum he must conform to his Mr. Oldhans instructions in the removal of the collections from the Societys preminses and in their arrangement and future # in the Mussum.
