Read a Dispatch from the Honble the Court of Directors No. 8 of 1854 dated 5th May last with the Report of the consulting Engineers to the Railway Company containing his views as to the best made of connecting Calcutta with the Railway Terminnus at Howrah and desining that the project of a suspension Bridge over the Hoogly lie over for the present bill however communicate here after their views as to the best means by which the opposite bank of the river may be united not only with regard to the purposes of the Railway but also to the grtowing works of the community mean while the Railway company will supply two stem boats for present wants.
