To Chief Secretary - With reference to the correspondece which has passed between the Government of Bengal and Madras on the subject of a considerable delay which occured in the receipt by Messrs Mackey and Companys of Calcutta of certain letter to their address which reached the Madras Post Office from # but which the Post Master Genral instead of by post in the N & O Companys Steamer, requests that the Post Master General he instructed to reform the practice of his Office the Post Offices on the Cost if the same eronems practice obtains there also.
