From Secretary - Requests authority to place on the fixed establishment from the 1st January a Pundit named Brafirna Suched Anund on a Salary of 50 Rs. a month and referring to the short period now allowed to Students to qualify themselves and to the difficulty in obtaining Native Teachers. Recommends that in addition to the two Writing Masters in Persian Nagree & Bengalee and Hindee Pundit there should be six Moonshees kept up on the fixed establishment in the Persian Department as many in the Hindee & Hindoostanee and the same number of Pundits in the Bengalee Department. The only Moonshee capable of giving instruction in Arabic Persian Hindee & Hindoostanee is Abdoola & recommends that he be added to the fixed establishment from the 1st Proximo on a salary of 40 Rs. a month. Encloses a List of the Moonshee and Pundits of the fixed establishment showing the state of in June 1830.
