Secretary - Submits report of a services aggression by rebels fro Oudh into that part of the Allahabad District which hes M & E the Ganges north of the Grant Trank Road - states that the Goorkas in propose & Azemgorh have had their hards full & areengaged in despersing rebels & destrying their strong holds in districts bordering on the Oudh frantierbut hopes that 2 Regiments will some be spared to protest the Country new threatened that the Madras Troops now at Murzapore Cannot as yet be moved 7 that the Garrisen of Benares is unable to spare a man that as Captain Pell left on 1st Instant & the Mirzapore & Flat with a 2nd detachment of sailors has also passed expwords the order of Government more than meet apparent requirement.
