From - With reference to the proposal of the Lieutt. Governor of Bengal to re-appointment Mr. Mouis to the Revenure Survey on his present salary of 250 Rs. per month in consequence of a charge in the Secretaniat states that the G. G. in C. does not consider that this Government can with properity sanction the proposal which insolves an addition of 250 Rs. per month to the salary sanctioned for the Office in the Revenue Survey Department to which it is intended to transfer Mr. Morris. The proper plan H. L. Observers is for the Bengal Government to appoint him to an Office having an ensolument not less than that of the Office from which he has been removed consequent on the charges in the Bengal Secretariat.
