Read again the following letter from the Officiating Superintendant of E. T. dated 7th May last which was recorded on the 9th Idem vizt. In reply to this Office letter of the 5th May states he has taken measures to ascertain what parties are desireus to with draw the deposits made by them under a misenception of Rule 29th of the E. I. Department as security for the payment of Messages rent by E. I. and wishes tobe informed of the instractions relative to commanders to Government tobe made through himself apply even to messages reports which have been usually forwarded by the Inspector in charge of the Siqualing Department.
