Secretary - Transmits copy of a letter from messers Pharvah and Company of Madras Sokiciting the patronage of Government to a Gazetteer of Southern India and an atlas containing maps of all the districts in the madras Presidency which have been published by them and requests that after inspecting a copy which will be forwarded the President of Council will state whether they are likely to be of use to the Government and if so what number of copies of such would meet the requirements of the public service.
