To Chief Secretary - In reply to letter dated 9th December last declines complying with the application of Dr. Scott a Private Practitioner on the Neilgherries to be allowed to have his prescriptions for patients unconnected with the Public Service made up gratutonsly at the Government dispensary. But so long as no private Druggists establish them selves on the Neilgherries would permit Dr. Scott a any other Medical Practitioner to procene Medicines from the Government Dispensary at Cut Price. Refers to the Published notification of 25th August 1854 which lags down that the families of Government Servants are not entitled to gratiutons Medical Assistance.
