Superintendent Electricity Telegraph - With reference to a letter from the Secretary with the Governor General regarding the transmission of a Confidential message every Monday morning to His Lordship solicits attention to the present total want of a method of official correspondence by cypher and suggests that he may be deputed to Europe to adopt the French system of a numbered vocabulary to Indian parposes, also to procare Alarm instruments and to as certain how messages can be sent by means of one wire simaltaneously in opposite directions and likewise to assist in the necessary arrangements for making the submarine line to Alexandria available for Indian official and Mercantile Correspondence.
