From - With reference to an Extract Foreign Department relative to travelling allowance at 8 annas a mile claimed by Deputy Commissioner T & M thus while travelling on duty altter a boat allowance has been assigned him - Observes that cases in which officers an furnished with passages in Government Vessels are provided by Government Resolutions dated 1 September 1854 & 14 March 1856 - In other cases in which journeys are made in private Vessels the actual but reasonable passage money should be allowed. Copies forwarded to the Officiating Director General Post Office to the Superintendent Electric Telegraph India and to the Superintendent of Marine.
