To Secretary - The attention of this Government having been attracted to entires No. 81 - 82 of the Revenue Cons, of the Madras Government dated 1st April last, relating to an order published by Mr. Hatharaby the Acting Collector of Falun directing the native officials subordinate to him to prevent the holding of Village markets on Sunday enquires whether any thing more is known regarding the measures taken by Mr. H. & whether there is any ground for bel# that this step was taken at the suggestion of the Missionarices.
