Read a Despatch No. 3 of 1859, dated the 12 January, from the Right Honble the Secretary of State for India, intimating. Para1 - That the undermentioned persons have been appointed members, of the Civil Service on the Bengal Establishment vizt. Messers Ed. Hy. Whinfielf, William Christopher Eades, John Ward, James Saml. Arenstrong, Alex Mair MacGregor & Fred. R.Jones.- Para 2 That Mr. I. I. Ross, Deputy Collector Bengal, has been permitted to return to his duty, and that the undermentioned Civil & Uncovenanted Servants of the Bengal Establishment have been granted expensions of leave on Sick Certificate for the Period Specified Vizt. Messers W. McChlery - 6 Months, A. A. Swniton, 3 Months, R. H. Russell 6 Months, G. G. MacKintesh 3 Months, I. C. Tairfase, 6 Months , S. C. Davis 6 Months - W. I. R. Carnac 6 Months, from 19 December 1858. Mr. Thomas Braddell, Assistant to the Resident Councllor at Penang 6 Months, Mr. A. Foy, Assistant Surgeon Punjab 6 Monhs Mr. D. J. Blenman, Assist
