Read a Despatch No 53 dated the 13th April 1858 from the Honble the Court of Director, replying to letter No 92 and 120 of 1857, relative to the payments made for the support of certain Hindoo Idols from the Aunochutur Fund at Cuttack, and also ofa hindoo Temple at Cuttack, Called Sertarain Thekoorbaree the Honble Court notice, that the allowances on both cases were made before the emquest of the prooinee, that they were continued by the British Government as a conciliatery Act, that they have been confirmed by Regr. 12 of 1805, and that the summery resumption of the part would involue a breach of faith on the part of Government should be disconnected, as much as possible with periodical Payments of this deseiption, the Honble Court suggest the adopstion of some arrangement in communiction with the Manager of the Government for # that defiet conistevly with the matenance of povd faith.
