To Secretary - Communicates observations on the foregoing with remarks of this Government, on the Subject of the order by Mr. Hathaway, the Acting Collector of Salem prohibiting the holding of village Market on Sundays, and states that the view originally taken of Mr. Hathaways order by the Board of Revenue, and concurred in by the Government of Masras, will cause full effect to he given to the Boards instructions and that the people of the Salem District be made clearly to understand that Mr. Hathaways order has been withdrawn.
