Ministry of Agriculture seeks clarification of O.M. No. 30/44/48-Apptts dated 6th April 1949 contending that the revised orders of seniority of Assistant etc meant to re-open past cases of promotions to selection posts irrespective of the positions that the persons already promoted may be holding in the revised seniority list. Decision that any of these persons were to revert on any ground whatsoever from the posts they now held their subsequent promotion to that grade will be on the basis of the revised order of seniority. Also posts above the grade of Assistant seniority will count only when claims of 2 persons on other grounds are equal
