With reference to a letyter of the 20th Ultimo, regerading the Match allowance of the 11th Irregular Cavalry, repoert that the Flint Carbines in use with that Regiment are the property of the Men, havbing been issued on payment and that niether Flints nor any other stores (other than those allowed for Irregular Cavalry armed with match Locks) have been supplied to that Regiment Except during the First Seik Campaign, when Flints and Cabine ammunition were issued on Emergent Indent, on the Special Authority of Brigadier General Weeler & that the articles have all been returned ito store in the Mooltan & Ferozepore Magazine in 1848-49.
