In reply to Your letter no 1384 of the 11th september 1857, Iam desired to observe, that, as stated by you, the forfuture of the security deposit of the meerut bread contractor depended upon 5 rejections of bread each Eejection being a different day in any given month But you state that in case of a contractor not at once paying the amount of fines to which he is justly liable, it is usual of to recover it from the security deposit and you, do not appear to imprign the Eejections of Breads in question, on four different days amounting in the Aggregate to Rupees 20 Two hundread.
