In reply to his letter no 41 of the 10 instant.- With reference to a letter of 7th instant stattes tht the instruction conveyed ina former letter of the 27th January last, were immedicately carried into effect in the offices subordinate to the Genl Post office of Bengal, that a copy of the letter was furnished to the post master genl. N W P with a request that he would issue the necessary instruction on the subject to his subordinates and it was the delay and inconvenience which must be incured by returning to the subordinate post masters in the W W P their bills for the dauk express of officers, the whole of which have reached his office unattestd that led him to make the reference contained in his letter no 40 of the 28th ultimo that all the bills submitted by the subordinate post masters in Bengal.
