Wheeler to the extent Rs. 480000 for the construction of the European Infantry Barracks at Iullundeer state that the Brigr is anxious to be relieved from the responsibility incurred in making such large advance deserves that owners may be adopted to prevent the necesity for the recurrence of such a proceeding observe that, as the aggrate amount of 330000 Rs. of the sums granted by the Brigr. and the Govt. fall considerable of the whole estimate they fear that the troop willbe put to great in convenience, as same of the usual buildings attatch to European infantry lines must from want of funds be left incomplete state that theyhave 2 estimates for the barracks one of which amount to Rs. 482891 and the other with alterations of design to Rs. 522468 but they known not when they shall be prepared to lay before government.
