In reply to letter no 122 of the 8th Instt observes that there is no Roll Regt, of staff officer for duty of Committees of adjustment of Eotales of decesed officer , but when required , Governer , of any intimate personal Friend or Officer living near to the quarters of deeased staff officers . In the case of the Estate of the late C all Peckett major Boscawen, the secy to the clothing Board, was selected on account of his being a presonal friend of the decesed , and on account of his office being next door to the quaters occupied by deeased , his personal attendance haas not as yet been necessary , the Committee being not due of adjustment but merely to as certain is decessed left a will.
