With reference to a letter of the 26th May last,sanctioning boad at allowance from Ghurmackteser to the presidency on account of Messrs. C H Shelerton and F Otto two clerks of this department, ordered from Head Quarters to join the adjutt Genls Office in CAlcutta, transmits copy letter from the aptt adjutt Genl. of the army accompained by a contigent bill with a remark thereon by the mily Auditor Genl , to the effect that as no rate of boad allowance has been fixed for clerks on bill for the actual expenses incurred must be furnished recommends that the President refereed to may be acted upon in the present reason and that the audit captain may be authorized.
