Intimatign in reply to despatch no. 1429 dated 23rd ultimo that as Captain Borrought Depy. Asst.Adjt. genl. of the Punjab Divn. was not by his own showing present at the battle of aliwal his claim for a emdal for that engagement is undermissible.
